Gynaecological surgery

Although predominantly a fertility doctor, Dr Tween is a qualified gynaecologist and has limited availability to perform a range of surgeries for common gynaecological conditions, including uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders and abnormal cervical screenings.

Gynaecology is the branch of medicine which deals with the functions and diseases specific to women and girls, especially those which affect the reproductive system. Common gynaecological issues can affect both your emotional wellbeing as well as your physical health, so it’s important to have any concerns looked at immediately.

Some of the gynaecological conditions that Dr Tween manages for her patients include recurrent pregnancy loss; menstrual disorders such as heavy and painful periods; irregular or abnormal vaginal bleeding; uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and pelvic pain; and outpatient insertion of intrauterine devices, such as the Mirena IUD.
