In Australia, infertility is more common than you think, affecting one in six couples. If this is something you’re currently struggling with, Dr Tween can provide a wealth of practical, reassuring advice to help you navigate the path towards parenthood.
Infertility is defined as the inability to achieve conception after a year of unprotected sex, or the inability to carry pregnancies to a live birth. The good news is, many couples suffering from infertility problems can be successfully treated with lifestyle changes or medical or surgical techniques.
Dr Tween has extensive experience in managing all forms of infertility. She can offer pre-pregnancy counselling for couples with a known family history of genetic conditions seeking PGD or those with pre-existing medical conditions seeking pre-pregnancy fertility evaluations (or ‘workups’) and coordinated care.
Fertility evaluations can include medical history reviews, physical examinations, and tests to assess ovarian function and egg reserves, check the condition of the reproductive organs, evaluate semen quality and investigate any medical irregularities in both partners.
Dr Tween can also help with ovulation tracking, which pinpoints ovulation and maximises the chances of a natural conception by letting you know the best times to try for a baby.
Whatever your situation, Dr Tween will explain the science to you in plain English so you can make an informed decision about the right path to follow.
To protect you, my staff, myself and the broader community from Covid19 infection, all consultation is preferentially done through telehealth. For patients who already have appointments booked, please email my room at email@example.com if you would like to take up the offer of video conferencing or phone consult. I am still taking new appointments but these will also be conducted through Skype or Zoom.
Take care everyone, and stay at home!
