Management of recurrent miscarriages

Dealing with recurrent pregnancy loss is stressful. Dr Tween can help you investigate the causes of recurrent miscarriages and monitor early pregnancy, providing reassurance and practical advice for what lies ahead.

Recurrent miscarriage is a distressing condition which affects around one to five per cent of women. If this has happened to you, Dr Tween can help. She can explore the causes of recurrent miscarriages via a number of tests, including blood tests, ultrasounds, and in rare circumstances, surgery.

Dr Tween also offers early pregnancy monitoring to her existing patients who have had previous miscarriages. Her early pregnancy monitoring protocol includes regular Beta HCG level checks and ultrasounds to determine the viability of the pregnancy, providing you with reassurance and supportive care. Dr Tween’s early pregnancy monitoring continues until 12 weeks, when you’re referred back to your GP, midwife or obstetrician for ongoing antenatal care.
